||||||||||||
Welcome to the monthly update for the residents and communities of the Birstall & Wanlip Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA). This newsletter will be circulated on a regular basis and will provide an insight into what is happening at the NPA.
The community have stated that ASB is a concern within the Birstall ward.
Anti-Social Behaviour has been highlighted as a concern by the local community within the Birstall ward. Targeted patrols have been conducted in key areas including Sibson Road, School Lane playing fields, and Meadow Lane. Ongoing work is being carried out to engage with vulnerable individuals whose behaviour may be contributing to ASB, with the aim of reducing incidents through support and intervention. Reports of youths congregating around the village centre are being actively monitored. Officers will respond to any issues that arise. Patrols have also taken place at local service areas, where officers engaged positively with youths and no issues were reported.
Road safety continues to be a key concern raised by our community, particularly around issues of speeding and inconsiderate parking near schools.
Speeding and inconsiderate parking near schools continue to be key concerns raised by the community. Officers will be liaising with local schools to support ongoing efforts, including a request for schools to issue letters to parents addressing these issues. Planned speed checks will be carried out on Greengate Lane and Wanlip Lane to monitor and address speeding concerns.
There has been an increase in Residential burglaries in the last 4 weeks.
